Review on wound packing a junctional injury! *simulated blood and injuries for education only.
How to wound pack a junctional bleed. *simulated blood and wound for educational purposes* 🤷‍♂️Does your agency allow you to wound pack? Did your civilian training teach you this important skill? Junctional wounds are those in the neck, armpits and groin. Tourniquets do not work on them because of their location and wound packing is essential to treating these critical injuries. Here is a short review. Let’s save lives together. #traumapak #woundpacking #stopthebleed

I'm sorry but in a combat situation I wanna get the TQ on as fast as possible while being safe so the slip on is easier in combat this concept is best in civilian practice.

I love the TX2/TX3 tourniquet with a passion, but this is the reason why I always keep another TQ with it. It's really slow to untangle so you can wrap it around a limb like this, so a backup TQ for this type of situations is always useful.

Is this the mini and the micro? I order a mini for my chest rig and I’m not sure anymore that it will fit. Company simply refuses to answer the phone for me so let’s give this a try, while I’m here 🤷🏽‍♂️ Edit: Finally got through via phone and all of my questions and concerns were answered and the dude was super nice and respectful. 10/10 customer service and I’d buy again just based off of how polite and cool the guy was having not even gotten the product yet lol😂 , great guys over there. 👍🏾all is well.

Not how it works. As the projectile enters, it creates massive cavity right underneath the entry point of the gunshot wound. If you only bandage it from outside with a real bandage or as you mention a T-shirt, the blood will keep pouring out and it will fill the cavity and the wounded will still bleed to death. So bandaging from the outside is not enough. In order to stop the bleeding and stabilise, the cavity needs to filled with gause as well as pressure bandage needs to be applied, just as you can see in this video. I’m no doctor or paramedic, but I got to courses and I’ve learned this and even tried this on gunshot wound treatment course

The initial pull on the strap is what matters most, you mist have the red tip towards you when applying to maximize the firt pull, if you do not pull hard enough in the beginning you can tun the handle 20 times and will still not be affective.
